US Presidential candidate Ron Paul has once again proved he is a front runner in the race for the GOP nomination, pulling in the most campaign donations from Iowa residents thus far.

Iowa will be the first US state to vote on a Republican nominee for President, and the results will have an affect on voters attitudes towards candidate viability and momentum.

Congressman Paul has received over $77,000 in contributions from Iowa so far this election cycle, a full $10,000 more than his closet rival Mitt Romney.

Paul sits well ahead of the rest of the GOP field, having raised more than double the contributions of his next closet rival – Michelle Bachmann.

Despite his impressive fundraising and many straw poll wins, Ron Paul continues to be either ignored or dismissed by Australian mainstream media outlets.

Given the exact same course of events took place four years ago when he ran for president, it appears that this is a deliberate tactic to undermine the growing popularity of his ideology of small government, sound money and peaceful international relations.

Such an ideology threatens a ruling elite hell-bent on plunging us into a world state.
