UK Gov Regulator: Documentary did not mislead

Ofcom, the UK's socialist media regulator, will concede that the Channel 4 documentary 'The Great Global Warming Swindle' did not materially mislead viewers, in a report to be released in response to a complaint about the accuracy of the documentary by people who claim human beings are causing catastrophic global warming, despite building evidence to the contrary.

The documentary outlines the distortions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), describes the facts about climate change and gives a voice to the scientists speaking out against the zealots engaging in systematic censorship.

The regulator however, did manage to rule that climate scientist Fred Singer misquoted former UK chief scientist David King. At the end of the film Fred Signer says:

"There will still be people who believe that this is the end of the world. Particularly when you have, for example, the chief scientist of the UK telling people that by the end of the century, the only habitable place on Earth will be the Antarctic and humanity may survive thanks to some breeding couples who moved to the Antarctic. This is hilarious. It would be hilarious actually, if it weren't so sad"

David King claims he never made comments to this effect despite UK newspaper 'The Independent' reporting that he did make such comments.

In contrast, a UK High Court Judge ruled on October 10th 2007 that Al Gore's 'An Inconvenient Truth', contained 9 serious scientific inaccuracies and "sentimental mush" and that it should only be shown to school children if these lies were disclosed and the opposing view presented alongside.
