Property-rights campaigner Leon Ashby founded the Australian Climate Sceptics Party in early 2009 and now he has an excellent chance at winning a Federal Senate seat in his home state of South Australia.

The Climate Sceptics Party are running senate candidates in all six states as well as running House of Representatives candidates in a series of marginal seats. Those seats are:

  • Barker -SA
  • Bennelong - NSW
  • Boothby - SA
  • Hasluck - WA
  • Hindmarsh - SA
  • Makin - SA
  • Mayo - SA

The Climate Sceptics Party is, unfortunately, not a party focused on drastically reducing the size and scope of government, however with no other party explicitly stating the fraud of anthropogenic global warming, they are an important voice.

Some decent Climate Sceptics Party Policies

  • Oppose any form of carbon taxation, whether based on trading ficticious paper (ETS) or direct taxation.
  • Support secure property rights
  • Support allowing landowners to decide on bushfire control measures
  • Oppose all restrictions on coastal property development
  • Oppose government funding for "green" energy
  • Support shutting down the Australian Greenhouse Office and the Department of Climate Change
  • Oppose all government spending on global warming conferences
  • Oppose state government choking of housing
