In 1933, a referendum was held in Western Australia. By 21st century standards, the question put to voters was well outside the confines of socially acceptable discourse. Voters were asked whether WA should secede from the Commonwealth and become an independent nation. Amazingly, a sizable majority – 68 per cent – decided in favour of breaking away from the federal government. There are few better examples of the distinctively rugged spirit of the West. Yet despite the sentiment in favour of seceding, WA’s plea was denied by the Australian government and the British Parliament in no uncertain terms. The powers that be were not about to stand for such intransigence. World Citizens Association of AustraliaPosted by Anthony Coralluzzo on 11th December 2011 12:53pmThe overwhelming majority of the many proponents of world government usually don't talk about it in explicit terms. However there are always a few that do. Since 2004, there has existed an organisation called the World Citizens Association of Australia, which does openly propose a one world government. Another organisation openly supporting a one world government is of course the Australian Greens. Hence there is no shortage of organisations explicitly supporting this kind of lunacy. "Nothing sinister" about taking advantage of crisisPosted by Anthony Coralluzzo on 27th November 2011 3:11pmSays Michael Pascoe:
Government's don't innocently take advantage of crises, they create them, blame them on others, present a solution to an ignorant public, and then institute that policy, which is what they wanted in the first place (but couldn't get public support for). Never-endingly increasing their control and destroying the market economy.
A new PC game allows players to control a world government that can institute coercive policies to fight so-called ominous global threats, like global warming, over-population and peak oil, including an option for a Chinese-style one-child policy (i.e. forced abortions). According to it's official website:
The European Union demanded Wednesday sweeping powers to override national budgets and proposed issuing joint eurozone bonds to help resolve and prevent a repeat of the debt crisis. Headline at news.com.au "New World Order"Posted by Anthony Coralluzzo on 18th November 2011 10:16am
