Supporting Al Qaeda

One minute we are saying that Al Qaeda is the biggest threat on the earth, and sending thousands of Australian troops to take them down, and the next minute we are supporting them.
Al-Qaeda, when it was created in the 1980's, was originally a series of Western-trained and funded Islamic fundamentalists designed to damage the Soviet Union during their occupation of Afghanistan. Then we switched from supporting Al Qaeda, to hating them in the so-called "War on Terror" (2001-2008). Now we are back to supporting them again in Libya. Could this all be a cover story for the masses, to hide the true motivations for war? |
