Advanced ETs will know government is a failure

In anticipation of advanced alien life touching down on planet earth, our future global overlords at the United Nations will appoint a new bureaucrat to oversee that process. Apparently, the earth not having some sort of global socialist leader will be a bad look. The aliens won't be impressed.

But there seems to be a contradiction here.

It seems to me that if alien life has found the economic and technological capacity to travel to planet earth, it means they must have embraced a market economy and rejected the backward eco-socialist ideology the United Nations so strictly adheres to. Hence they will see the appointment of more government bureaucrats as an indication of the stupidity and hopelessness of the human species.

They'll probably just fly off without giving us access to their rejuvenation and immortality technologies.

Oh well. I suppose we deserve it for being so socialist-happy.
